I found myself alone quite a bit, and I filled the silence by talking to God. Whether it was through whispered requests, tear-filled petitions, or loud, confident declarations, I always felt closest to God in prayer, and I still do! Prayer is a big part of my walk with God and one of the ways He has gifted me. It is such a blessing for me to pray for other women! I know that for some people, praying can feel unnatural… or maybe you just don’t know where to start, or what words to use. I'm a wife, stepmom to a sweet 7 year old, dog mom of 2 crazy Aussies, business woman, Bible study writer, small group leader, prayer warrior, sister, daughter and friend. Whew that's a lot of things! But above ALL of those things, I am a woman made in God's image, uniquely designed to be most content in a relationship with Him (and you are too!). But it wasn't always this way! I spent years trying to be everything to everyone - the definition of a perfectionist. I struggled with anxiety and broken relationships, determined to do things my way. I looked great on the outside - but inside, I was lost and slowly drowning. Eventually, I crashed and burned, and let me tell you, it was NOT a good look. In 2017, my life took a sharp and unexpected turn off course. Life seemed overwhelming, scary, even hopeless.
